Archeology-based drama ‘Mahasthan’ to be staged in Bogura on Friday

An Archeology-based drama titled “Mahasthan” will be staged at Mahasthangarh in Bogura district on Friday evening aiming to uphold the political and cultural history of traditional artifacts of Bangladesh.

The two-hour duration drama written by Dr Selim Mozahar and directed by Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) Director General Liaquat Ali Lucky will begin at 6:00 pm.

Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy is producing the drama with the participation of 350 artists, said Badrul Alam Bhuiyan, director of Drama and Film Department.

“Second exhibition of the play will be held on November 24,” he added.

Cultural Affairs Ministry Secretary Md Nasir Uddin Ahmed is expected to inaugurate the exhibition while Litterateur and Novelist Professor Hasan Azizul Huq will attend the inaugural function as the chief guest, reports BSS.

With Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) Director General Liaquat Ali Lucky in the chair, the event will also be attended by Theatre Personality Ataur Rahman and Professor Abdus Selim as special guests.
