10 Netflix thriller shows to watch right now

A new year means new content for Netflix. However, you might want to check out the previous year's list as it might have some wonderful content in it.

Before Netflix brings its 2022 magic, let us have a look at some of the best series available right now that will blow your mind away.

Midnight Mass

After The Haunting of Hill House back in 2018, Mike Flanagan is back again with the best horror series of 2021 named Midnight Mass.

Strange things began to happen when the town of Crockett Island gets its new young priest who performs miracles. While most people in the town are swayed by him, a few tend to differ due to the horrors coming with it.

 

Arcane: League of legends

Set in the magical world of League of legends, the series is rich both in animation quality and storytelling. Ranking the top 10 Charts in 52 different countries, it also set the record as Netflix's highest-rated series so far within a week of its premiere.

Maid

The story of a single mother named Alex who escaped an abusive relationship to bring a better future for her daughter Maddy.

The realistic drama introduces the struggling life of a single mother to the audience. Based on Stephanie Land’s 2019 New York Times bestselling book 'Maid: Hard Work, Low Pay, and a Mother's Will to Survive.' 

Squid Game

The most talked-about series of 2021. The series begins with a contest between hundreds of financially indebted people who play for a cash prize of 38 million dollars. However, it is not your regular contest that you see on TV.

Cobra Kai Season 4

Remember Mr Miyagi San and Daniel LaRusso vs Johnny Lawrence in The Karate Kid (1984)? Well, the feud between LaRusso and Johnny continues in Cobra Kai through their students.

Cobra Kai explores the duos further relationship and its ups and downs. The first and second seasons were released on Youtube Premium while seasons 3 and 4 were released on Netflix. The series is expected to come with the fifth season in 2022.

Manifest

After almost five and a half years later, a Montego Air Flight 828 finds itself at its destination with 191 passengers.

However, the passengers only felt severe turbulence for a brief period in their flight from Jamaica to New York City. Now the passengers try to go back to their normal lives when supernatural events begin to occur around them.

Originally produced by the NBC network, Manifest moved to Netflix in June 2021 after NBC cancelled the show. It has been confirmed that Netflix will produce the final season.

House of Secrets: The Burari Deaths

Based on true events. This docu-drama brings out the in-depth facts about the case of 11 members of a family in Burari who were found dead in their home in Delhi in 2018. The three-episode series is one of the most over dramatized yet most mysterious series by Netflix in 2021. 

Did you know? In 2007, nine members of a family committed themselves in front of a rushing train in Mymensingh, Bangladesh, in a similar scenario which is known as the Adam family incident.

The Witcher season 2

Do you know what is better than The Witcher season 1? Season 2. The action-packed season is more focused on the main story excluding unnecessary scenes which was the boring part of its first season. The season begins with Geralt along with Ciri on a journey that leads Geralt to an old friend.

Lupin

Assane Diop is a professional art thief who immigrated from Senegal to seek revenge on Hubert Pellegrini who framed his father for diamond necklace theft 25 years ago.

After being inspired by a book about gentleman thief Arsène Lupin, Diop uses his excellent skills and charisma to expose Hubert's crimes. 

The serpent

The story follows Charles Sobhraj, a French serial killer in the 1970s who robs tourists and sell stolen gems with his girlfriend. Based on true events, the series is thrilling and intense. The cast is also suave and exotic.
