World University of Bangladesh (WUB) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Universiti Tun Abdul Razak (UNIRAZAK) at its main campus in the capital, says a media release.
According to the MoU, the WUB and the Malaysian university—UNIRAZAK--are desirous of entering into the deal to declare their respective intentions and to establish for basis of direct cooperation.
They also agreed to collaboration in the fields of research, education and training programmes of mutual interest, between the parties upon the provisions as contained in the MOU.
In order to promote the collaboration, the universities agreed to negotiate in good faith to explore the possibility of developing collaborative activities which are mutually beneficial, to include but not be limited to:
i) facilitating entry to postgraduate courses
ii) facilitating entry to short term courses
iii) exchange of students
iv) exchange of faculty and/or staffs
v) internship programme
vi) joint conferences and academic programmes
vii) cooperation in other areas.
Professor Datin Paduka Dr Samsinar Md Sidin, Vice Chancellor of the UNIRAZAK, and Prof. Dr. Abdul Mannan Choudhury, Vice Chancellor of the WUB signed the MOU on behalf of their universities.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gazi Md Nurul Islam, Dean, Graduate School of Business, Universiti Tun Abdul Razak and Professor Abdus Salam Molla, Registrar, WUB were also present as the signing ceremony.
