The Program is a transformational one-year leadership development programme designed to enable civil society leaders, ages 20-27, from communities from over 100 countries, according to an embassy statement issued on Wednesday.

The programme aims to harness the power of networks, relationships, and information for the public good to address critical 21st Century issue, including civic dialogue and peace-building, open and participatory government, women and gender, resilience and sustainable development, and youth engagement.

The programme includes a fully funded, three-month practicum at a civil society organisation in the United States.

The application deadline is kept until Wednesday, December 23, 2020, 11:59 pm (Eastern Standard Time) (Thursday, December 24, 2020 10:59 am (BDT)).

The goals of the programme are to empower participants (“Fellows”) to assume greater leadership roles, build civil society capacity, strengthen participants’ ability to lead collaboratively, and develop an innovative global civil society eco-system.

In addition to the fully-funded, three-month practicum in the United States, the programme also includes both an online and face-to-face training component in leadership and community engagement, service-learning opportunities, mentorship, and developmental support of Fellows’ projects that will be undertaken in their home countries following the programme.

The Community Engagement Exchange (CEE) Program is merit-based and open to emerging civil society and community leaders from Bangladesh and other countries who meet the criteria below.
