The University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) has recently organised a photo exhibition in association with Nepalese photographer Ms Renuka Khatiwada at its Campus A in Dhanmondi area in the capital.
The photographer’s project primarily took a close look at Dhaka and Kathmandu to compare the two cities as part of the Comparative South Asian Urban Studies project.
Professor Dr H M Jahirul Haque, Vice Chancellor, ULAB inaugurated the exhibition on Tuesday, according to a press statement.
Professor Imran Rahman, Special Advisor to the ULAB Board of Trustees, Professor Shamsad Mortuza, Pro Vice Chancellor, ULAB, Professor Syed Mazoorul Islam, Department of English and Humanities, ULAB, Professor Arun Gupto, Principal, Pokhara University, Nepal, were present at the inauguration ceremony.
Ms Khatiwada is a visual studies researcher at South Asian Foundation for Academic Research (SAFAR) and currently working on a documentary titled ‘Four Gray Walls and Four Gray Towers’ which is focused on Kathmandu and includes images from Dhaka and Chattogram.
