The Masters of Public Health (MPH) programme was launched at Rangpur Community Medical College (RCMC), a sister organisation of Rangpur Group, in a function held at its lecture room on Friday in Rangpur city.
Director of Rangpur Group Major (Retd) Nasim Uddin as the chief guest formally inaugurated the MPH programme to be run by the School of Science and Technology of Bangladesh Open University, a press release said today.
With Principal of RCMC Professor Dr Afroza Bulbul Akhter in the chair, Rangpur Regional Director of Bangladesh Open University Dr Azizul Islam attended the inauguration ceremony as the special guest.
Rangpur Regional Deputy Director of Bangladesh Open University Md Wahiduzzaman, Programme Coordinator of the MPH programme and Additional Director of Rangpur Group Mirajul Mushin, among others, addressed.
A total of 50 MHP programme students (all physicians) and teachers (also physicians) of different medical colleges, hospital and other organisations attended the programme launching function, BSS reported.
In his PowerPoint presentation, Professor of the School of Science and Technology of Bangladesh Open University Dr Abdul Majid discussed the main activities of the MPH programme, the release added.
