On February 22 and 23, Startup Chattogram hosted "Startup Chattogram Bootcamp 2020" for the first time in Chattogram at Hotel Agrabad. The event got huge responses as industry experts, renowned business individuals and government personnel were present. The two-day Bootcamp welcomed more than 200 participants including 35 startups.
LightCastle Partners was the knowledge partner for the event, where they discussed about the fundamentals of starting and scaling up their startups, says a press release.
The event was inaugurated by NM Zeaul Alam PAA, senior secretary of ICT Division on the first day. Other guests included Chattogram District Commissioner Elias Hossen, Project Director of the iDEA project Syed Mujibul Haque, VC of United International University Professor Chowdhury Mofizur Rahman, Director of Pacific Denims Limited Sayed Tanvir, CEO of Light Castle Bijon Islam, Managing Director of ESKEMI South Asia Lutfi Chowdhury, Chief Advisor of Startup Chattogram Areefin Rafi Ahmed, CEO of Speaker Council Imran Ahmed and CEO of Life Coach Bangladesh Partners Tanjeer Abedin.
On the first day, opening ceremony was followed by a four-hour interactive training session. Finally, the day ended with a panel discussion where panellist discussed on Bangladesh's pathway towards innovation and entrepreneurship.
The second day commenced with the training session, followed by pitch session where participants pitched their idea to the respective judges. The Bootcamp ended with certificate distribution among the top 14 ideas. These 14 ideas will have a chance to pitch in Startup Bangladesh platform. The Bootcamp has been a catalyst to promote early stage startups in Chattogram and provide them a platform to showcase their ideas to various industry experts.
The entire event was coordinated by Arafatul Islam Akib, founder of Startup Chattogram.
