Under the Faculty of Arts of University of Dhaka, Mohammad Jahangir Alam has been awarded a PhD degree on his thesis topic "Islami bank management in light of the Quran and the Hadith: An analysis".
Professor Md Abu Bakar Siddique was the supervisor of his thesis. Mohammad Jahangir Alam completed BA (honours), MA and M Phil from the same university. He received his MBA degree from Eastern University. He received diploma associate (DAIBB and DAIB) degree from Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited and the Institute of Bankers, Bangladesh (IBB). He joined at the Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited in 1995 as probationary officer. He is currently serving as Senior Vice President and divisional head of Anti Money Laundering and Combating Financing of Terrorism Division of First Security Islami Bank Limited. He participated in numerous training programmes and workshops at home and abroad, says a press release.
