Applications are open for 'Future News Worldwide 2020'. It is an international conference for the next generation of journalists run by the British Council in partnership with some of the world's leading media organisations.
'Future News Worldwide 2020' is a fully funded opportunity for 100 brightest young student writers, vloggers, photojournalists and reporters from around the world in the two-day event at Sky Central -- the global headquarters of the Sky Group in July 2020 in Isleworth, London, UK, says a press release.
In order to enhance the skills of emerging journalists of the next generation, leading media organisations such as Reuters, the Google News Initiative, Facebook, and UK Schools of Journalism are contributing to this once-in-a-lifetime conference where young journalists can create global connections.
Undergraduate and postgraduate students from any country aged between 18 and 25 years old on July 1, 2020 are eligible to apply. Applicants should be able to speak English at an advanced level and need to show that they are passionate about pursuing their careers in journalism.
To submit applications, one needs to log in www.britishcouncil.org/future-news-worldwide. The deadline for the application is February 14, 2020.
