That is why the government is considering introduction of an education TV, which would be named as Shikkha TV, she said.

"If the TV is launched, the teachers of rural schools will also get benefited as they could be learnt new teaching methods," the minister added.

Earlier, on the second day of the conference, the DCs on Monday suggested taking measurers to hold special classes in the schools located in the country’s marginal areas and hiring guest teachers from reputed educational institutions.

The education minister said the DCs were asked to create public awareness against sexual harassment of students in their respective districts.

During the meeting, Dipu Moni said they discussed sealing off coaching centres, stopping notebooks and guidebooks business and infrastructural development in educational institutions.
