JCI recognises best performers

One of the founding chapters of JCI Bangladesh, JCI Dhaka West, held its general assembly at Hotel Westin, Dhaka on October 27, 2017. During the general assembly, JCI Dhaka West's President for 2018 was announced, the new committee was declared and members were awarded for their hard work throughout the year.

Junior Chamber International (JCI) is a worldwide leadership organisation for young professionals and entrepreneurs between the ages of 18 and 40. The organisation is found in 110 countries and has a membership of 200,000 across the world. JCI Dhaka West is a chapter of JCI Bangladesh. JCI Dhaka West is entitled towards the development of young active citizens throughout the nation to enlighten the flame of self-development into every individual's soul to build the next generation an ideal one for the country.

The president called the meeting to order by reading the JCI creed, mission, vision and creed with the attendees. The executive members were present and the quorum was established. The chair asked everyone to look at the agenda and asked for inputs.

The award giving ceremony was also held and the eligible members were awarded for their contribution throughout the year. The award criteria were Award of Excellence, Best Student Member Award, Most Aspiring Member Award,  Outstanding Officer, Best Local Officer,  Best Project Co-Load,  Best Project Lead,  Best Project Mentor etc.

Mehedi Hossain was declared the President of JCI Dhaka West for 2018. The new executive committee was  announced and the members expressed their tentative plan of action and vision for JCI Dhaka West in the future. The general members had a question and answer session with the nominated president, vice president (VP) and executive vice president (EVP). 

The newly elected board members and local officers took their oath to carry out their duties for JCI in 2018. Senator Waqar Choudhury, past National President of JCI Bangladesh, delivered a speech touching on leadership and networking and how JCI Bangladesh aims to provide development opportunities for youths.
