Prof. Dr. Takaaki Yoshioka of Teikyo University in Japan on Thursday called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md Akhtaruzzaman at his office on the campus.
The possibility of taking joint academic and research programmes between DU and Teikyo University was discussed in the meeting, reports UNB.
They stressed on the need for sharing knowledge and experience among the teachers and students between the universities to strengthen academic and research activities.
DU Pharmaceutical Chemistry department, Prof Dr. Firoj Ahmed and CEO of Japan Bangladesh Cultural Foundation, Sheikh Emdad were present on this occasion among others.
