IUB distributes relief goods among Rohingyas

The Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) has recently distributed relief materials among the devastated Rohingya people, according to a press release.

The three-day relief activity took place at the Ghundum Camp, Ramu, Ukhiya where the Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Milan Pagon led the university team and Registrar, Brig Gen (Retd) Anwarul Islam coordinated the project activity.

The IUB distributed 1,200 bags of aid containing rice, pulses, salt, potato and baby milk powder.

The team also distributed essential medicines worth Tk 0.2 million, 200 pieces bed sheets, and installed 10 tube-wells and 20 slab-latrines. Some 23 tonnes of food items amounting to Tk 2.5 million was allocated by the trustees of the university to carry out this humanitarian activity.
