The authorities of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia have decided to stop evening courses from all academic activities of the university.
The decision was made at 113th syndicate meeting of the university with IU vice-chancellor Professor Dr M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari on the chair, said acting registrar of the university SM Abdul Latif on Sunday night.
Among others, IU Pro-VC Professor Dr M Shahinoor Rahman, Treasure Professor Dr M Selim Toha, acting registrar SM Abdul Latif, proctor Professor Dr M Mahbubar Rahman, deans and chairmen of different facilities were present in the meeting, UNB reported.
IU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari said they took the decision thinking the demands of the general students, taking the fact that university’s academic activities are not hampered due to those courses.
