A group of foreign students of Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University (HSTU) have met the UGC Chairman Professor Abdul Mannan, recently.
The students expressed their satisfaction about the academic environment and facilities of the university while meeting the UGC Chief on Tuesday evening, according to a press release.
However, they requested him to allocate funds for building an international hostel for foreign students
Abu Bakkar Halilu, a Nigerian student, led the delegation, the release said.
Prof M Abul Kashem, Vice-Chancellor of HSTU, along with other teachers attended the view exchanging session.
At present, 250 students from Nepal, India, Ethiopia, Nigeria and Somalia are studying at the university.
The UGC Chairman assured the delegation that already a plan is under consideration for building a hostel for them.
