Five people, including four admission-seekers and one guardian, were detained cheating and adopting unfair means during the 'Ka' unit admission test of Dhaka University on Friday.
DU Proctor Prof Dr AKM Golam Rabbani said their proctorial team and police detained them from different examination centres, reports UNB.
"Two of them were held with electronic devices at an exam centre. A guardian was also held in this connection," he informed.
However, the proctor did not reveal the identities of the detainees.
The one-and-half-hour honours first year admission test of 'Ka' unit under Science Faculty for the 2018-19 academic session was held at 84 centres inside and outside of the campus from 10 am.
A total of 81,096 candidates registered for the admission test against 1,750 seats.
