The World Philosophy Day was observed at Dhaka University (DU) on Thursday with much enthusiasm.
DU Philosophy Department organised seminar, brought out procession and arranged debate competition to observe the day.
Meanwhile, a discussion programme, organised by DU Philosophy Department and Govinda Dev Centre of Philosophical Research, held at Teacher-Student Centre (TSC) auditorium.
According to a UNB story, DU Vice-chancellor Prof Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman attended the discussion as the chief guest while Prof AKM Haroonar Rashid presented the keynote paper titled "Thoughts on Secular State".
Earlier, a procession was brought out from the foot of Aparajeya Bangla at 9:30 am marking the day.
