Canadian University of Bangladesh in collaboration with Better Bangladesh Foundation celebrated International Mother Language Day in its auditorium at Pragati Sarani, Dhaka, says a press release.
Charles Whiteley, head of delegation and the ambassador of the European Union to Bangladesh has graced the programme as the chief guest while Dr Chowdhury Nafeez Sarafat, founder and chairman of Board of Trustees of Canadian University of Bangladesh chaired the programme.
Professor Masud A Khan, founder of Better Bangladesh Foundation, was present in the programme as the special guest.
Among others, Chowdhury Raheeb Safwan Sarafat, member, Board of Trustees, Prof Mohammed A Arafat, chief adviser, Board of Trustees, Prof HM Jahirul Haque, senior adviser, Board of Trustees, Prof ASM Sirajul Haque, treasurer, deans of schools and all heads of the departments of Canadian University of Bangladesh, Chris Hansen, headmaster of Haileybury Bhaluka and Wendy Hansen, director of Stakeholder Relationships of Haileybury Bhaluka were present in the programme.
Faculty members of different departments, senior officers from different sections, and students of all departments also took part in the programme.
Dr Chowdhury Nafeez Sarafat thanked Charles Whiteley for visiting Canadian University of Bangladesh and he expressed that the bilateral relationship and cooperation between European Union and Canadian University of Bangladesh will continue for the greater interests.
