Prof. Dr. Engr. A. K. M. Fazlul Hoque, registrar of Daffodil International University (DIU), has been elected as the president of Bangladesh Electronics Society (BES) for the year 2019-2020.
Dr. Md. Nazrul Islam Khan, principal scientific officer of Atomic Energy Center Dhaka (AECD), has been elected as General Secretary of the BES.
The electronics society organised the BES election at the Auditorium of Atomic Energy Center in the capital on November 25, 2018, says a media release.
Prof. Dr. Engr. A. K. M. Fazlul Hoque joined as Adjunct Professor in CSE Department of Faculty of Science and Information Technology on February 01, 2011 and took the responsibility of Registrar on November 01, 2013.
Before joining at the DIU, he served as Director, Atomic Energy Centre, Dhaka (AECD), and as Head of Accelerator Facilities Division of AECD.
He had thirty three years of research experience in Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission (BAEC).
Prof. Hoque served as `Philips Research Fellow’ in the department of Applied Physics and Electronics of Dhaka University. He has been regularly supervising Ph. D, M. Phil, and M. Sc theses.
He obtained MSc in Applied Physics and Electronics from Dhaka University in 1976, and Ph. D in Physics (Nuclear Technology) from Jahangirnagor University in 2002.
Prof. Hoque He had been graduated in Electrical Engineering (B.Sc Engg) from IEB in 1982.
He has more than twelve years of experience of organising national and international training courses, conferences, symposium, workshops, etc. He has a total of 54 (fifty four) research papers in his credit.
The DIU register was an elected Central Council Member of IEB for the terms 2011- 2012 and 2013- 2014.
He was also the general secretary of Bangladesh Electronics Society (BES) from 2000- 2016, and vice president of Bangladesh Physical Society (BPS) during 2010 and 2011.
Fazlul Hoque been working as a Member of Asian Committee for Future Accelerator (ACFA) since 2004.
He was born in 1953 at village Patira of Fulbaria upazila of Mymensingh district.
