A Knowledge Sharing Programme (KSP) workshop on startup and business incubation was held at UGC auditorium on Sunday.
The programme was organised by Asian Development Bank (ADB) with the financial assistance from Export Import Bank of Korea.
This was the Final Dissemination Workshop for higher education project in IT sector for developing Startup and Business Incubation to produce skilled IT manpower.
The ultimate goal of KSP is to assist the government for developing business incubation in the IT Park, academic-industry linkage and capacity building of IT professionals, reports UNB.
Professor Abdul Mannan, Chairman of UGC was chief guest of the workshop while Professor Dr Mohammad Yousuf Ali Mollah, Member of UGC presided over it.
The Chairman of UGC, in his speech said that the forthcoming IT project is highly needed for capacity building of IT professionals to materialise the dream of digital Bangladesh.
Md Abdullah Al Hasan Chowdhury, Additional Secretary of Secondary and Higher Education Division of Ministry of Education, Manmohan Parkash, Country Director of ADB Bangladesh Resident Mission were Special Guests.
