The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Monday found irregularities in the lottery system for class I admission in the capital’s Ideal School and College.
A team of ACC, lead by its assistant directors Salina Akhtar Moni and Masudur Rahman, conducted a drive at the institution after being informed on their hotline of alleged irregularities in the lottery system, said an ACC press release on Tuesday.
The anti-corruption watchdog team monitored the admission process from 9:00am to 4:30pm, and at one point, ordered the school authority to write the results of the students with ballpoint pen instead of pencil.
The team also ordered the authority to publish the waiting list of candidates, as it found the school did not announce it in the boys’ category.
The school is set to admit 840 students to class I in its Motijheel, Banasree and Mugda branch this year.
