Singapore's non-oil domestic exports grows by 6pc on year in July

Singapore's non-oil domestic exports (NODX) grew by 6.0 per cent year on year in July, after the revised 13.9 per cent increase in the previous month, Enterprise Singapore, a government agency, announced on Monday.

On a month-on-month seasonally adjusted basis, the NODX increased by 1.2 per cent in July to 14 billion Singapore dollars (about 10.22 billion US dollars), compared to the previous month's 1.4 per cent decline.

In a breakdown of Singapore's total NODX, the electronic NODX increased by 2.8 per cent year on year in July, easing from the low-base driven expansion of 22.2 per cent in June.

Meanwhile, the non-electronic NODX increased by 6.9 per cent year on year, after the revised 11.7 per cent increase in June.

The NODX to Singapore's top 10 markets as a whole grew in July, reports Xinhua.

Singapore's NODX to the Chinese mainland decreased by 5.1 per cent year on year this July, compared to the previous month's 0.6 per cent increase.

In a breakdown, the electronic NODX to the Chinese mainland fell by 16.3 per cent year on year in July, while the non-electronic NODX declined by 2.2 per cent.
