The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has collected over Tk 30.0 billion as revenue till November 30.
"Some 2.40 million taxpayers have filed their income tax returns till November 30. Against the tax returns, NBR has collected over Tk 30.0 billion as revenue," NBR Public Relations Officer Syed A Momen said.
In the last fiscal 2021-22, he said, some 2.54 million taxpayers filed their income tax returns, reports BSS.
NBR has extended the income tax return submission deadline for individual taxpayers by a month till December 31.
NBR expects another 1.10 million returns to be filed in this one month.
There is around 8.20 million online Tax Identification Number (e-TIN) holders in the country.
