ActionAid Bangladesh (AAB) and Dhaka University Debating Society (DUDS) will hold a Policy Dialogue on Unpaid Care Work: Election Manifesto Perspective on November 5 at TSC Auditorium of Dhaka University.
The policy dialogue is being organized as part of the Grand Finale of ‘National Debate Campaign-2018 on Unpaid Care Work’.
Researchers, academicians, political leaders, youth leaders and students from different universities around the country will join the event.
Dr. Akhtaruzzaman, Vice Chancellor, Dhaka University, will address the inaugural session as the Chief Guest. A K Abdul Momen,Permanent Representative to the UN and Bangladesh Ambassador, Naim Nizam, Editor, Bangladesh Pratidin, Professor Mahbuba Nasreen, DU, Professor Maksud Kamal, DU will be present at the inaugural session.Professor Meghna Guhathakurta will present research findings on Unpaid Care Work in the inaugural session.
In this final round of the national debate, champions and runner ups from all five divisional competitions will participate in the parliamentary debate on Unpaid Care Work. The day-long event will also include rally, debate workshop, seminar, award giving and closing ceremony.
