The Finance Minister has said that there will neither be any new tax imposed, nor will be any risk in the country’s banking sector in the year 2018.
He also expected a peaceful and stable year in 2018 maintaining the country's existing economic development.
AMA Muhith while talking to the journalists at the Finance Ministry on Sunday in Dhaka said, "2018 will be a good year for the country. Next national budget will be as usual and no new tax will be imposed in the year."
There will be no risk in the banking sector in 2018, he said responding to a question.
Muhith also hoped that the depositors would get back their confidence in the banking sector.
According to him, the outgoing year 2017 was good for the country as the political situation was peaceful.
BSS said Finance Division Acting Secretary Mohammad Muslim Chowdhury was also present on the occasion.
