‘Bridge to Bangladesh’ is set to organize a conference of Non Resident Bangladeshi (NRB) engineers, which is the first of its kind in the history of Bangladesh, in Dhaka in upcoming February.
The announcement came from a press conference, convened by Engineer Azadul Haque, chairman of Bridge to Bangladesh, on December 8 in Washington, US.
The conference, slated to be held on February 26 and 27, with the slogan ‘We are for Bangladesh’ will be graced by National Professor Jamilur Reza Choudhury as its chief guest.
Principal Coordinator (SDG) of Prime Minister's Office Md. Abul Kalam Azad will be the special guest, while Engr. Ghulam Mohammed Alomgir, Chairman of MAX Group will present the key note paper.
“The meritorious students of Bangladesh are returning to the country. ‘Brain Drain’ is transformed into ‘Brain Gain’. What can be more blessing for the country?” said Bangladesh Ambassador to the US Mohammad Ziauddin.
“Bangladesh has catapulted high above from where she was. There is ample opportunity right now,” he added.
Engineer Jalil Khan, Joint-Convener of the Conference, Mohammad Alamgir and Mohammad Zaman, Executive Members, Bridge to Bangladesh, were also present at the press conference.
Ghulam Mohammed Alomgir, Chairman, MAX Group, Engineer Sanaul Haque, Engineer Harisuzzaman and Engineer Dewan Mahmud Meem of the group talked from Dhaka via video conference.
NRB engineers in different countries like the UK, Canada, Singapore, Sweden, Japan, Australia, United Arab Emirates, Philippines, Qatar and South Korea in addition the US will converge on the conference.
The conference entitles engineers to presenting selected papers, which will be complied in a journal. They have to submit their papers by December 30.
