ADP implementation increases in FY19

The implementation rate of the Annual Development Programme (ADP) in the last fiscal year (FY19) was 94.32 per cent with an overall expenditure of Taka 1.67 trillion.

“This ADP execution in the last year was Taka 182.87 billion higher than the ADP execution in FY18,” said Planning Minister MA Mannan on Tuesday after ECNEC meeting.

The minister said that the ADP implementation rate was 94.11 per cent in FY18 with an expenditure of Taka 1.48 trillion.

The Planning Minister said as both the ADP implementation rate and expenditure increased last year, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina herself has expressed satisfaction over the achievement.

Asked about the reason behind increased ADP execution in the last year, Mannan said the Planning Ministry, especially the IMED, remained very active from the beginning of the last fiscal year besides maintaining constant supervision.

Besides, the Planning Minister said after assuming his office, he held meetings with the Project Directors in various Divisions as well as with the concerned Secretaries which also helped to boost the execution.
